Antarctica Exhibition at the National Science Museum of Tokyo

START OVER

The exhibit was arranged by a local newspaper in Tokyo, the Asahi Shimbun. This special exhibit ran from July - September of 2006. The majority of the fossil material on display is from the Transantarctic Vertebrate Paleontology Project. The exhibit had material from past Japanese expeditions to Antarctica, and talked about the natural history and biology of the continent. The main contacts for this project were Chisako Sakata (of the Asahi Shimbun) and Dr. Makoto Manabe (paleontology curator of the National Science Museum of Tokyo).
